06/2008 - Construction Underway at Serratoga Falls
Neighborhood Features More Open Space Than Any New Northern Colorado Community
TIMNATH, CO – June 30, 2008 – The first series of homes are now under construction at Serratoga Falls – a new Timnath neighborhood designating more than half of its 388 acres to open space. No other new neighborhood in Northern Colorado matches Serratoga’s dedication to the natural environment and the appeal of an active outdoor lifestyle. When completed, the community, just 10 minutes from Old Town Fort Collins, will include 200 acres of open space and parks, eight lakes, miles of landscaped walking trails and stunning, unobstructed mountain views. Serratoga Falls’ commitment to nature is clear in its first filing, which launched in 2007 in the property’s northwest corner. The single-family houses built during the first phase are surrounded by one of the region’s most abundant concentrations of plantings: • 1,554 deciduous and evergreen shrubs • 5,782 perennials and ornamental grasses • three acres of shrub beds • and nine acres of irrigated turf. Ultimately, 385 homes and patio homes – priced from $500,000 – will be built on oversized lots. Every home will back up to open space, a park or lake. Each home also will be green built and meet or exceed the Five Star energy rating. The Serratoga Falls community eventually will feature a magnificent lake house with a fitness center, professional staff, pool and tennis courts; and lakeside beaches and docks. The community is part of the Poudre School District. Unpretentious luxury living is what Serratoga Falls developers Robert Bisetti and John Donaldson dreamed of creating when they first saw the land that lies just north of Prospect Road east of I-25. Bisetti and Donaldson selected local home builders Portafino Homes and Bartran Homes to construct residences that feature Old-World style and craftsmanship, high ceilings, outdoor living spaces, stucco and stone exteriors on all sides, expansive views of the Rocky Mountains, 3-car garages and more. “We’ve introduced a luxury lifestyle that’s truly affordable,” Bisetti said. 06/2008 - Open Space & Stunning Views Create Legacy Neighborhood
By Laura Dowling
© 2008 Lydia's Style Magazine Annette Vizena and Matt Sorensen searched tirelessly for three months for a home. Their goal was simple: find a well-built home close to the hospitals and clinics in Fort Collins and Loveland where the couple works. Their search wasn’t easy. “We looked at so many homes.” said Matt, 33, an oncologist with Cancer Center of the Rockies, who also is a golfer and runner and dabbles in fly fishing. “We didn’t want a big home. We wanted a quality-built home.” Read the entire article |
