| Timnath Located on a small bluff just east of the Cache la Poudre River, this small farming community traces its history to 1869, when local homesteaders built the town’s first schoolhouse. As the second largest employer in Fort Collins, PSD touches the lives of students, parents and the entire community. | Ride, run, blade Ride endless county roads on your road bike, hit the foothills with your trail shoes or mountain bike, or jump on the amazing Fort Collins trail system about a mile away. Hike, explore Lace up your boots, grab the dog, and hike the fitness trails outside your door. Swim, read, relax Take the kids to the pool or beach, read a book, and catch rays while they play. Paddle, row, sail Put a sailboat, canoe, kayak or inner tube on Lake Serratoga and enjoy the water and the views. Swing, dangle, get dizzy Turn the kids loose in one of the nearby pocket parks to play on the swings and monkey bars. Go fishing Float, row, or cast from shore. Show the neighborhood kids how to wet a line. View wildlife Grab your camera and get amazing shots of pelicans, cranes, hawks, foxes and other natives among the lakes, prairie grass and wild flowers.
