Northern Colorado

Serratoga Falls

Situated on the plains near the base of the Rocky Mountains, Northern Colorado offers a quality of life like no other.

The region provides high-quality education and health care, shorter commutes than the national average and conveniences of big-city living, all within a small -town atmosphere. National companies have located their headquarters here, and local businesses thrive, each providing employment opportunities. The abundance of preserved green space throughout the Front Range contributes to the beauty of the area while allowing residents to enjoy a plethora of parks, lakes, hiking trails and other activities just out their back doors.

Northern Colorado communities are continually recognized as recreation wonderlands by publications such as Outside Magazine (2005) and Men’s Journal (2005).

Colorado averages 300 days of sunshine each year. Part of Northern Colorado’s appeal is its natural beauty and the care of the environment by its residents. Northern Colorado communities have also been recognized for their commitment to open space and conscientious approach to environmental issues

Timnath, Colorado

Timnath is located between Fort Collins and Windsor, Colorado, on the east side of Interstate 25. The Northern Colorado area is growing rapidly with both young, well-educated and outdoors-oriented families as well as retirees looking for a high quality of life found nowhere else. In fact, MSN.com rated the area as one of the "Top 5 Places to Retire."

Timnath is home to 220 residents with a volunteer town council and a full-time town manager.

Once a rural farming community, this blossoming town is rich in history and alive with a vision for a vibrant future. Timnath’s residents treasure the town's history. Like so many other small communities faced with growth issues, we are working hard to ensure that we do all that is possible to keep the "small-town charm" currently associated with Timnath. We realize that the rural "feeling" is more than just open space, agriculture and a small population; it is also a state of mind. It is how we relate to our neighbors. It is building a community where people live, work, and play. It is an attitude that we all have to work hard to foster -- the attitude of service, celebration, charity, community, ownership and pride.

Fort Collins, Colorado

Fort Collins has gained national recognition and a reputation as an American dream town. Residents enjoy a growing city vigorous with activity and recreation in which beats the heart of a small town.

Colorado State University adds to the diversity of the community and creates many cultural and intellectual opportunities. Fort Collins boasts a vibrant arts community and residents can choose from an array of performing and fine arts including the Fort Collins Symphony and numerous small theaters and galleries. Visitors are welcome at the city’s numerous microbreweries for tours and tasting, and the vibrant Old Town area provides a community gathering place.

Fort Collins is home to 40 parks scattered throughout the city. A bike path system provides miles and miles of paved trails popular with local bicyclists, walkers, runners, and roller skaters. Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, activities for the whole family overflow.

The cost of living, a mild climate, simple lifestyle, outdoor recreation, entertainment and state-of-the-art health-care facilities attract many retirees to the area, many of them joining their grown children who have chosen to raise their families here.
